A commitment to inner growth, authenticity, and self-development led me to become a psychotherapist in New York State. I specialize in the treatment of adults with personality disorders, a history of trauma, and mood disorders including depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. I work with individuals who may be ambivalent about entering therapy and use a compassionate and supportive therapeutic style to ease the process and make one feel comfortable.  My goal is to help my clients achieve fulfilment in their relationships, occupational functioning and attain a life they love.

I am a graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work and have practiced in hospital and outpatient psychiatric clinic settings with a diverse clientele of individuals of different ages, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and professions. A lot of my work has consisted in working with individuals exposed to traumatic events in life and have extensive experience working with first responders of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. I utilize an eclectic approach informed by my training in various therapeutic modalities. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and integrate psychoanalytic theories. I completed the Certificate Program in Trauma Studies at the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis and I am currently a Psychoanalytic Candidate at the Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity, which focuses on Self Psychology. I meet clients where they are at and am emotionally present, warm, non-judgmental and welcome feedback to make the therapeutic process a positive experience.

I am committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment to support the growth of clients and enhance personal insight.  I look forward to working with you to overcome challenges in a healthy manner that is empowering and brings personal fulfillment and satisfaction.
